Becoming America: America Is a Perfect Idea; the United States of America is a Work in Progress

To our 2 Paragraphs Family,

As I have mentioned several times in our 2 Paragraphs series, my two partners Dr. Jo Ellen Chatham and the Hon. Bijan Kian and I, along with some truly notable guests, have created and are now broadcasting a show entitled Becoming America: America is a Perfect Idea; the United States of America is a Work in Progress” Here is the link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdebftkWqCxGkHIbnHpA47yGNGgH42Yw1  . As was discussed, this show is based upon a musical I wrote with two talented partners, J. Steven Lawless and Joel Henry Stein, entitled Convention: the Birth of America.

Becoming America uses each of the 17 songs in the musical as a theme for 17 approximately one-hour YouTube broadcasts and, except for the Introduction, each one has a truly knowledgeable and intelligent guest to provide more details and insights about our Country’s 1787 Constitutional Convention.

In addition, the first enclosure gives a short description of each show, and the second provides some Study Guides for further education and interest.

In these times, we all feel that it would be quite useful for all of us, particularly our students, to appreciate more fully our Great Country’s Constitution, and how it came into being. And we are proud to say that we believe that this show can and will truthfully promote that appreciation. But this will only really happen if you help us by becoming familiar with the shows, and also by you forwarding them on to your network of friends and acquaintances – particularly teachers and school administrators. (And there certainly are no royalties to be paid!)
