As I have written to you before, my two colleagues Dr. Jo Ellen Chatham and the Hon. Bijan Kian have joined me in taping 17 one-hour videos, each with a distinguished and knowledgeable guest and with a theme based upon one of the songs of Steve Lawless’, Joel Henry Stein’s and my musical Convention: the Birth of America. Here is a one-hour introduction that you can listen to on any of the podcasts listed below. But I will send you the schedule of the broadcasts of the actual YouTube videos once it has been finalized – which should be soon. The name of this series is Becoming America: America is a Perfect Idea, the United States of America is a Work in Progress, which I believe accurately describes our United States of America!
I am truly proud of what we have done, and I strongly believe that this series will assist to promote much more of an understanding about who we have been as a country, who we are and who we will be in the future. But it is up to us because, as our finale states, now “You Are the We!” In other words, it is our country, and if it is not working as well as it should, we have no one to blame but ourselves. if you have the time, please listen to the podcasts, maybe when on a car trip, and please help us share the word!
