“MENTORING OUR STUDENTS AND APPRECIATING OUR COUNTRY!”

Just to let you know, my musical “Americans All” can now be viewed on my website. The condensed version of the show was performed by Irvine High School in 2004, and the full-length version by Vanguard University of Southern California in 2011. The musical uses lessons I learned while presiding over Orange County’s Peer Court, which is a program that takes real juvenile delinquency cases to high schools, empanels student jurors who ask questions both to the subjects and their parents and then deliberate and recommend a sentence to a real judge. And if the subject completes the sentence within four months, the charges are dismissed. This results in the subject not having a juvenile criminal record for that offense. (Hence it is called a Diversion Program.)

I am truly proud of “Americans All,” as well as the performers and the directors who participated. Each one added things to the show and made it better. So the purpose of the show is to help mentor our students, to bring much more of an appreciation for our Great Country, and to have some fun along the way. Thus I request that you watch “Americans All,” and that you ask your children (and grandchildren) to do the same. Not only will you enjoy it, but I believe you will be visibly moved by each version – especially in today’s climate of victimization and criticism of our country and what we stand for.
